This is an 8 to 2 line level to mic summing bus. Much better for combining signals that the summing algorithm in a DAW. Built out of scraps, and terminated to XLR female and driven from the 8 outputs on my MOTU 896HD. I noticed immediately an increase in width of stereo field (due to absence of pan law), and more dynamic range. Plus I can run the output to any of my preamps, to color the mix. Sounds killer with my hotrod 1272's!
