These are Neve 1272 style preamps derived from the standard Neve 283AV gain cards. The "Hotrod" mod comes from Joe Malone over at JLM audio - and the PCB's were designed and printed up by Greg at Capstan Recording. I used the JLM input and output transformers for this project so that I could easily fit it into a 1U rack case. Also, the JLM DI and Go Between kits were used to get an instrument or line input and for the phase/pad/phantom power hookup. How do they sound? Ginormous!
