A project that I recently completed for a friend, and I kept 2 channels for myself. I used Peter C's Green PSU to get +/- 15VDC and 48VDC, and just ran the I/O into where the bussing used to be. Right now the outputs are unbalanced - but there is some nice hot signal - plenty for my Motu 896 inputs with the trim pots all the way closed.
